Two West Officials head to Rome.
This week sees Martin Monaghan and Jamie Telfer travel to Rome to officiate at the EuroHockey Championship Qualifier 1 Men in Rome from the 9th to 12th July. Martin will be the TD with Jamie, our new West District Umpires Association Vice-Chair umpiring at this very important event which will feature the international teams of Croatia, Czechia, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Switzerland, Turkiye and Ukraine. We wish Martin and Jamie good luck and safe travel with best thoughts from WDUA. We know they will highlight just how good officials from West District Hockey are, and emphasise to our next batch of officials there is a pathway they can progress along towards the international stage where no door is closed to those who really want it.
