After a break last weekend, we’re back in business in the West District!

 

Four teams remain unbeaten in division one, as we head into match day 3. Hillhead 3rd XI take on Hillhead 4th XI in tonight’s match, with excitement building in this intra-club clash. Western 3rd XI travel to Uddingston 3rd XI, hoping for a different result from last year. They lost 2-0 at Uddingston. Giffnock have the long trip to Dumfries, to try and maintain their winning start, whilst Rottenrow take on Clydesdale 3rd XI. Helensburgh welcome GHK in the other clash, both seeking their first points of the season.

 

Division 2 has newly promoted Helensburgh 2nd XI heading to Stepps. The ‘burgh side are still seeking their first points in the higher division. Elsewhere, Kelburne 3rd XI will be hoping to keep the promotion hopes alive with a tricky game against Uddingston 4th XI and Rottenrow 2nd XI travel to Ayr hoping to repeat last season’s 2-1 victory. The other games include Western 4th XI hosting Hillhead 5th XI and Clydesdale 4th XI take on Glasgow University 3rd XI.

 

In division 3, a tasty game is expected at the National Hockey Centre, as Kelburne 4th XI take on Anchor. Both sides will be hoping to be there or there abouts in the promotion fight this season. Hillhead 6th XI take on Greenock 2nd XI. The two promoted sides played an exciting 1-1 draw at the end of last season which decided the division winners. The other game sees Ayr 2nd XI travel to Uddingston 5th XI.

 

Helensburgh 3rd XI will be trying to pick up their first points of the season, with Clydesdale 5th XI coming to town, whilst Giffnock 2nd XI host Dumfries 2nd XI. Western 5th XI travel to Hillhead 7th XI, at Balgray.
