Final round of games for the West District divisions. Let’s hope the warmer weather stays and allows a full fixture card to take place.

In division one, league leaders Clydesdale 3rd XI host struggling Uddingston 3rd XI. The two sides are at opposite ends of the table and so a Clydesdale win is to be expected, however anything can happen. Rottenrow sit in third place, after a surprise defeat last time out, and they take on Giffnock at the National Hockey Centre. It could be a tricky tie for the title contenders, as Giffnock are a tough side to beat. Second placed Hillhead 3rd XI have an away tie at Kelburne 3rd XI. Kelburne have adapted well to life back in the first division and will be looking to take another scalp this week after a strong win against Rottenrow last week. Elsewhere, Western 3rd XI host Helensburgh and Western 4th XI take on Hillhead 4th XI, looking for their first win.

Division two have the one of only two unbeaten sides in the district, with GHK. They travel to take on Rottenrow 2nd XI and could extend their run this weekend against the team just one place below them. Top of the table Ayr have a home tie against Hillhead 5B and should get back to winning ways against them, whilst second placed Clydesdale 4th XI take on second bottom Uddingston 4th XI. The other games have Glasgow University 3rd XI hosting Greenock 2nd XI and Dumfries travelling to take on Hillhead 5A.

It looks like only one game in division three is set to go ahead and with the other two postponed. Anchor will be looking to keep their promotion hopes alive with a win against Western 5th XI, but the Auchenhowie side are no easy pickings. The game was a 2-2 draw last time they but Anchor have home advantage at their new pitch at ON-X and will be keen to get the victory.

In division four, the other unbeaten side in the district is Clydesdale 5th XI. They come up against Giffnock 2nd XI and will hoping Finlay Dunlop continues his scoring prowess to keep their run going. Second placed Helensburgh 3rd XI will be keen to overturn the 1-0 defeat they faced the last time out against Dumfries 2nd XI. Whilst the third game in the division sees Dumfries 3rd XI host Hillhead 7th XI.
