West District Umpires Association are delighted to advise all our members and friends that two of our umpires, Sam Cowan and Emma Reid have been selected to participate in the EuroHockey, Umpires 4 Europe programme which is run over seven months and aimed at individuals with the potential to display their skills on the international stage.
During this time Emma and Sam will be mentored by EuroHockey trained mentors and participate in a blend of online and face-to-face workshops, and seminars, whilst also having the opportunity to umpire elite level matches.
This is an amazing opportunity for both Emma and Sam to make their mark on European umpiring and WDUA wish them well as they enter this exciting period of their career.
