Another full programme of fixtures awaits in the West District this weekend, with title-chasing clashes, local derbies, and key games at both ends of the tables across all three divisions.

Division 1 – Top-End Tension & Derby Day

Division 1 is headlined by a heavyweight clash as league leaders Western 3rd XI host third-placed Rottenrow in a match that could have a big say in the title race. Western remain the team to beat, but Rottenrow’s recent form suggests they won’t go quietly.

There’s also an intraclub derby at Hillhead, where the 4th XI take on the 5th XI in what’s always a fiercely competitive affair, regardless of league positions.

Helensburgh, led by league top scorer Adam Carmichael, travel to face Glasgow University 3rd XI, looking to build momentum and keep pressure on the teams above them.

Elsewhere, Giffnock host Clydesdale 4th XI, while Kelburne 3rd XI welcome Clydesdale 3rd XI in another fixture with important points on the line.

Division 2 – Firepower & Form in Focus

Goals shouldn’t be in short supply in Division 2 this weekend.

All eyes will be on Hillhead 6th XI striker Neil Macey, who has already hit 19 goals this season, as his side travel to face Uddingston 4th XI.

GHK, unbeaten in their last five matches, will look to extend that run when they host Strathclyde University 2nd XI at Old Anniesland.

At the top of the table, league leaders Uddingston 3rd XI travel to Greenock 2nd XI, in what could be one of the toughest tests of their campaign so far.

Elsewhere, Kelburne 4th XI take on Rottenrow 2nd XI, while Western 4th XI host Ayr, with both sides desperate to turn form into points.

Division 3 – Leaders Return & Chasing Packs

Division 3 sees league leaders Clydesdale 5th XI back in action, as they host Uddingston 5th XI at Titwood. With Finlay Dunlop already on 23 goals this season, Clydesdale’s attack will again be the focal point.

Dumfries 2nd XI welcome Hillhead 7th XI, while in-form Hillhead 8th XI take on struggling Anchor, with both sides eyeing vital points.

Finally, Helensburgh 2nd XI make the trip to face Clydesdale 6th XI, hoping to continue their recent positive run and close the gap on the teams above them.
