The West District recently held its Annual General Meeting at Clydesdale Hockey Club, bringing together member clubs to reflect on the season just gone and look ahead to the next chapter of district hockey.

A number of important topics were discussed throughout the evening, with clubs agreeing on several matters that will help shape the season ahead. However, one of the most significant moments of the AGM was the opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of outgoing President Keith Joss.

Keith steps down after seven years as President and an incredible thirty years of service to the Men’s West District Committee, having first joined in 1995. His dedication, commitment and countless hours of voluntary work have helped guide the district through decades of change and growth. On behalf of all clubs, the West District extends its sincere thanks to Keith for his tremendous contribution to hockey in the region.

Taking over the role is Greig Cunningham, who now assumes the mantle of President. With a strong committee in place and plenty of enthusiasm for the future, the district looks forward to continuing to develop and grow under Greig’s leadership.

Celebrating the Season’s Successes

As always, one of the highlights of the AGM was the presentation of the season’s trophies and awards, recognising the achievements of clubs across league, cup and indoor competitions.
