Today we have to offer an apology to two of our WDUA memebers who travelled to Eindhoven for the first round of the EHL last weekend.
Barbara Morgan gets the first apology as one of our top technical officials, appointed as TD to the event which featured mens club sides from Austria, Belgium, England, France, Czechia, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Nederlands, Scotland and Switzerland.
Barbara will shortly be working with WDUA on an iniative to search for new techs, details of which we will be releasing over the next few days.
The second person to recieve an apology is Katie Howie, one of Scotlands top umpires who was umpiring at the event and who helps WDUA on a regular basis by presenting Level 1 theory nights, assessing and even acting as an umpire manager at West District Hockeys Cup Finals.
It would be handy to brush off my error as a glitch but as a body that strongly believe in transparency, honesty and respect for our officials, quite simply I forgot Barbara and Katie were there.
WDUA hope you both had a really successful trip, enjoyed yourself, and Terry’s dog sitting skills were on top form.
