We’re reaching the business end of the season now, where every point counts. Promotion and relegation will be firmly on the minds of those teams in and around the important league positions.

An exciting clash is sure to be in store at Titwood tomorrow, in division one, as Clydesdale 3rd XI host Rottenrow. Clydesdale have slipped to second place in the division, after leading for most of the season, with Rottenrow just behind them in third place. The two sides will be keen on all three points, with Rottenrow being one of the few teams to beat Clydesdale this season. Now at the top of the table, Western 3rd XI will be looking to stay there with a home tie against struggling Uddingston 3rd XI. Uddingston had a good win out last game but Western could be a tougher task. It’s very tight in the middle of the table with only two points separating fourth to eighth position. Helensburgh travel to Hillhead 4th XI, looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat last time out. Kelburne 3rd XI host Western 4th XI and will be confident of three points, whilst Giffnock travel to Hillhead 3rd XI with an exciting game expected.

A mid table clash is the pick of the bunch in division two tomorrow. Ayr host Dumfries in a match that both sides will be keen to win. Both sides have faltered lately, in the form table, and a win would be important for both sides with promotion hopes still lingering. Elsewhere, it’s top vs. bottom for most of the other matches. GHK are in first place currently, and they travel to struggling Uddingston 4th XI. In second, Glasgow University 3rd XI take on Rottenrow 2nd XI, which will be a tricky tie for them to navigate. Clydesdale 4th XI are in third place and host bottom side Hillhead 5A. In fourth are Hillhead 5B, and they take on Greenock 2nd XI.

Kelburne 4th XI look like they have division three wrapped up but can’t be complacent, despite a home tie against bottom side Uddingston 5th XI. They cannot afford any slip ups at this point in the season. Anchor will still be hopeful of a promotion spot and will be looking for some revenge on Helensburgh 2nd XI, after a defeat to the ‘burgh side at the ON-X two weeks ago. They travel to Helensburgh tomorrow. The final game of the division is Hillhead 6th XI hosting Western 5th XI.

Division four looks wrapped up as well, with Clydesdale 5th XI comfortable at the top of the division. Tomorrow, they travel down to Dumfries to take on Dumfries 3rd XI. They’ll be looking for top striker Finlay Dunlop to take his shooting stick with him as he has been scoring for fun this season. Helensburgh 3rd XI host Giffnock 2nd XI, with the winner of that match likely to end the weekend in second place in the division. Helensburgh have looked good this season, but Giffnock are no pushovers. The final match of the day is the big derby match between Hillhead 7th XI and Hillhead 8th XI. The two sides will be keen on victory and bragging rights around the club.
