Only a few games beat the winds, but there was a few stormy games to catch at the weekend if you could brave it!

Two games were played at Auchenhowie on Saturday, in the first division, with the best viewing to be had in the later pushback. Western 4th XI hosted Helensburgh, with the hosts taking a 2-0 lead into half time. At 3-0, the 4th XI looked high and dry but Helensburgh certainly got the wind in their sails as the game went on. They got the game back to 3-3 with minutes to go. A crucial penalty flick, scored by division top scorer Adam Carmichael saw Helensburgh take away all three points. Earlier on, Western 3rd XI defeated Kelburne 3rd XI in a one sided game that saw the home side score five in the second, without reply, to take the victory 7-1. Rottenrow lost to Hillhead 4th XI in last weekends only fixture.

Only two games made it in the second division too. Rottenrow 2nd XI travelled down to Ayr, and managed to take all three points home. The away side had a slender 3-2 lead at half time, before a tense second half ended 5-3 to Rottenrow. Ross Jubins double certainly helped seal the points for the ‘row. The other match was between GHK and Dumfries. Dumfries managed the long journey up to Glasgow but it would seem that the travelling took it out them, as GHK ran out 4-0 winners. A quiet first half saw the score at 0-0 but GHK showed their experience in the second half to win the game 4-0.

No games beat the weather in divisions three or four.
