It’s a smaller fixture card this weekend with the October holidays upon us but still plenty of hockey on display.

The only match in division one see’s Glasgow University 3rd XI take on Rottenrow. The uni’ side have only played one fixture this league season and it wasn’t a good result, so they will be hoping to bounce back from that. Rottenrow will be keen for a win however, as they look to mount a serious title challenge this season.

In division two, Uddingston 3rd XI could move into second spot with a win away at Ayr. Ayr have had a slow start to the season but a home fixture for them could be just the ticket to get the season up and running. Hillhead 6th XI could, likewise, move into second place, depending on other results as they face Strathclyde University 2nd XI. The two sides met last season in division three, and will be keen to get the early victories under the belt. Elsewhere, Dumfries host Greenock 2nd XI and Uddingston 4th XI welcome Western 4th XI.

Three games in division three this week, with new starts Rottenrow 3rd XI back in action, after an impressive first match last week. They travel down to Hermitage Academy to face Helensburgh 2nd XI with both sides on equal points. Clydesdale 6th XI will be keen for their first win as they host Giffnock 2nd XI, whilst Anchor will continue there look for promotion as they welcome Hillhead 7th XI to the ON-X.
