Lets hope we beat the storm this week, with a full fixture card planned!

The bottom two sides clash in division one tomorrow, with three points vital for both sides if they want to stay in the division. Uddingston 3rd XI defeated Western 4th XI comfortably in the reverse fixture but travelling away to Auchenhowie on Saturday could make it a trickier tie. Top of the table Clydesdale 3rd XI will be hoping to extend their lead at the top with a win over Hillhead 4th XI. Western 3rd XI are the inform side with four wins on the bounce. They travel to Eastwood to take on Giffnock. Elsewhere, Helensburgh host Kelburne 3rd XI and Hillhead 3rd XI take on Rottenrow.

 

Division two remains the closest division with only three points separating fifth and first place. GHK remain the only unbeaten side in the division and currently occupy third spot. They take on Hillhead 5A who have struggled for form this season. At the top of the pile is Clydesdale 4th XI who are away to Hillhead 5B. It was narrow victory early in the season for Clydesdale and so they will be hoping for a more comfortable win this time. Aston Kerr leads the goalscoring charts for the division and he’ll be hoping that he can proper Ayr up the table as they travel to Uddingston 4th XI. The other game see’s second placed Dumfries go to Glasgow University 3rd XI.

 

In division three, two mid-table sides clash at Hermitage Academy, with Helensburgh 2nd XI hosting Western 5th XI. Uddingston 5th XI are five points adrift at the bottom of the division, but a win tomorrow over second bottom Hillhead 6th XI could help bridge that gap. The other match could be a tasty affair, as they often are, between Anchor and Strathclyde University 2nd XI. The two sides are keen on promotion this year and whoever wins this game will occupy that second promotion spot at the end of the weekend.

 

Helensburgh 3rd XI have the chance to gain ground on the division four leaders tomorrow, as Clydesdale 5th XI aren’t playing. Helensburgh host Hillhead 7th XI, a team in which they put seven goals past earlier in the season. Meanwhile, Dumfries 2nd XI and Giffnock 2nd XI come to heads at the King George V playing fields. The two sides are level on points so this game could go either way. Dumfries 3rd XI travel to Hillhead 8th XI in the final match of the weekend.
