As we near the business end of the season, we have a full fixture card for the weekend ahead.

In division one, last season’s champions travel to the team currently sitting top. Uddingston 3rd XI take on Western 3rd XI at Auchenhowie.Western remain unbeaten so far this season, with Uddingston struggling for form. However, they will be buoyed from a good win last week and will be hoping to push on. At the other end of the table, struggling Helensburgh take on GHK at the High School of Glasgow. Both sides are scrambling for points, and this game could be massive come the end of the season with relegation lingering in both sides’ minds. Elsewhere, we’ve an all-Hillhead clash, Rottenrow take on Clydesdale 3rd and Dumfries travel to Giffnock.

Division two leaders Kelburne 3rd XI haven’t lost since October and will be looking to continue that form as they travel through to Uddingston, to take on the 4th XI. Uddingston sit mid-table, but Kelburne shouldn’t have too much trouble. Uddingston’s Martin Lorimer could be the dangerman, however, sitting top of the division two scoring charts. Second placed Western 4th XI take on fourth placed Hillhead 5th XI. Western won the earlier fixture 4-1, but with Hillhead at home, could that change the result? The other sides in action see Ayr travel to Rottenrow 2nd XI, and Glasgow University 3rd XI welcome Clydesdale 4th XI.

Division three will split shortly, with the top four fighting for promotion, and the bottom three fighting to avoid relegation. However, the league table is very tight with all teams still able to finish in the top four. Current leaders Hillhead 6th XI welcome Ayr 2nd XI to Balgray. Ayr have found a form at this crucial stage and will be hoping that can carry them up the table, but Hillhead will be a tough nut to crack. Strathclyde University 2nd XI should have enough at home to beat struggling Anchor, but that game can always be a feisty affair. The other game sees Uddingston 5th XI welcome Kelburne 4th XI to town.

In the bottom division, Helensburgh 3rd XI host Western 5th XI, but it could prove a tricky encounter for the hosts as Western look to get back to the top of the table. League leaders Clydesdale 5th XI entertain Dumfries 2nd XI at Titwood, whilst Giffnock 2nd XI take on Hillhead 7th XI.

ke on Hillhead 7th XI.
