Division 1 serves up a cracking set of fixtures this weekend, with unbeaten runs, in-form sides and two of the league’s top scorers all in action.

At Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh welcome Clydesdale 4th XI in a midday pushback that promises goals. The ’Burgh will take confidence from their attacking output in midweek, where Adam Carmichael struck twice despite defeat, taking his tally to nine for the season — joint top in the division. Against a well-organised Clydesdale side, Helensburgh will be aiming to turn chances into points on home turf.

Elsewhere, league leaders Western 3rd XI put their unbeaten record on the line against Hillhead 4th XI at Auchenhowie. Western have been the standard-setters so far this season, but Hillhead remain one of the few sides capable of disrupting that momentum with their pace and discipline.

At the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, in-form Rottenrow host Glasgow University 3rd XI knowing they haven’t tasted defeat in their last seven matches. Much of their success has come through the sharp finishing of Chris Lawson, who also sits joint-top scorer on nine goals and continues to be the focal point of their attack.

Over at Balgray, Hillhead 5th XI face Clydesdale 3rd XI fresh from an important win last weekend — a result that could prove vital in the battle to climb away from the lower reaches of the table. Confidence will be high, but Clydesdale will see this as an opportunity to derail Hillhead’s momentum.

Finally, Kelburne 3rd XI welcome Giffnock to ON-X in what looks like one of the most evenly matched fixtures of the round. Both sides are capable of putting strong runs together, and this one could hinge on fine margins in midfield.

Division 2 offers another compelling set of fixtures this weekend, with form lines beginning to take shape and several teams looking to make early statements.

At Uddingston Sports Club, Uddingston 4th XI host Dumfries in a 13:30 pushback that could prove crucial for both sides’ momentum. With points tight in the middle of the table, this one feels like a chance to either kick on or steady the ship.

Over at Stepps Playing Fields, Strathclyde University 2nd XI welcome Ayr in a fixture that brings contrasting moods. The students picked up an important 1–0 win last weekend, and they’ll be keen to build on that. Ayr, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win of the season, and will be desperate to turn performances into points sooner rather than later.

At Balgray, Hillhead 6th XI take on GHK in one of the standout ties of the round. GHK come into this match carrying confidence from a strong run, having won their last five games. But Hillhead will be full of belief too, led by the division’s most prolific forward — Neil Macey, who simply can’t stop scoring with an incredible 19 goals in 12 games.

Elsewhere, Rottenrow 2nd XI face Western 4th XI in what could be a real test of depth and consistency, while Greenock 2nd XI welcome Kelburne 4th XI in a fixture that often delivers high tempo and physical contests.

Division 3 brings another intriguing round of fixtures, with several sides looking to build momentum and close the gap on the teams above them.

At Uddingston Sports Club, Uddingston 5th XI host Hillhead 7th XI with a 12:00 pushback in what could be a pivotal mid-table encounter. Both sides will see this as an opportunity to gain ground in a tightly packed division.

Over at Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh 2nd XI welcome Anchor for a 14:00 pushback. These two served up a close contest in their last meeting, and another tight battle looks likely. Anchor come into the match without a win in their last four games, while Helensburgh will be keen to turn recent performances into points on home soil.

At the Glasgow National Hockey Centre, Rottenrow 3rd XI face Clydesdale 6th XI in a fixture that could have a big say in the promotion picture. With the top two sides not in action this weekend, Rottenrow — currently sitting third — have the chance to keep pressure on after winning their last two matches.

Finally, Dumfries 2nd XI take on Giffnock 2nd XI at King George V Playing Fields. Dumfries are still searching for their first win of the season, while Giffnock arrive full of confidence after a big home win in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.
