Another crucial weekend awaits across the West District leagues, with the Division 1 title potentially being decided, promotion races intensifying, and key matches at the bottom of the tables.

Division 1

Western 3rd XI could be crowned West District Champions this weekend if they avoid defeat at home to Giffnock. Victory — or even a draw — would see them retain the John S. Dick Trophy for the third consecutive season. Pushback is 11:00 at Auchenhowie.

There is also a significant match in the relegation battle as Hillhead 5th XI host Clydesdale 4th XI at Balgray (14:30). Both sides sit just above the drop zone and will be desperate to put daylight between themselves and danger.

Later in the afternoon, Clydesdale 3rd XI welcome Glasgow University 3rd XI to Titwood for a 16:30 pushback, while elsewhere Rottenrow host Helensburgh and Hillhead 4th XI travel to Kelburne 3rd XI.

Division 2

Uddingston 3rd XI continue their impressive campaign and look on course for an immediate return to Division 1 if their unbeaten run continues. This weekend they face Strathclyde University 2nd XI.

The chasing pack remain hopeful though, with GHK still applying pressure near the top. They face a difficult trip to the National Hockey Centre to take on third placed Rottenrow 2nd XI.

At the bottom of the table, Western 4th XI and Kelburne 4th XI will both be targeting vital points as they aim to secure their Division 2 status for next season.

Elsewhere, Ayr travel to Dumfries, while Greenock 2nd XI host Uddingston 4th XI.

Division 3

At the top of the division, Clydesdale 5th XI remain favourites for promotion but cannot afford any slip-ups with Rottenrow 3rd XI only three points behind. They host Anchor at Titwood (16:00).

Hillhead 8th XI are at Balgray (13:00) where they welcome Giffnock 2nd XI, who face a busy double-header weekend. They return to action on Sunday when they host Clydesdale 6th XI.

The final fixture of the weekend sees Rottenrow 3rd XI travel to face Uddingston 5th XI.
