Another exciting weekend of West District hockey awaits, with crucial fixtures across all three divisions as teams battle for titles, promotion and survival.

Division 1 – Champions Aim for Perfection

Newly crowned champions Western 3rd XI return to action at home against Kelburne 3rd XI, with their sights set firmly on maintaining a 100% record to round off an already outstanding season.

Elsewhere, Hillhead 4th XI travel to Eastwood High School for an 11:00 pushback against Giffnock, knowing that strong results are needed to secure their position near the top end of the table.

One of the standout fixtures of the weekend takes place at Hermitage Academy, where Helensburgh host Clydesdale 3rd XI. With the sides sitting 5th and 4th respectively, this promises to be a closely contested encounter.

In-form Rottenrow head to Balgray to take on Hillhead 5th XI, looking to continue their strong run, while Glasgow University 3rd XI welcome Clydesdale 4th XI in another important clash.

Division 2 – Promotion Push Intensifies

The race for promotion continues to heat up in Division 2. GHK will be looking to build momentum as they host Western 4th XI at 12:30, knowing every point is crucial in the run-in.

The headline fixture sees Uddingston 3rd XI take on Rottenrow 2nd XI in a 1st vs 3rd clash. With Uddingston still unbeaten, this could be one of their toughest remaining tests as Rottenrow aim to disrupt the promotion picture.

At the other end of the table, Kelburne 4th XI face a potentially pivotal trip to Ayr, with both sides needing points in the fight for survival.

Elsewhere, Dumfries host Hillhead 6th XI, while Uddingston 4th XI take on Strathclyde University 2nd XI.

Division 3 – Can Anyone Stop Clydesdale?

A huge match at the top of Division 3 sees 2nd placed Rottenrow 3rd XI host leaders Clydesdale 5th XI. With just four games remaining, Clydesdale remain unbeaten and are closing in on back-to-back promotions — but this could be their biggest test yet.

Clydesdale 6th XI, in good recent form, host Hillhead 8th XI at Titwood, while Uddingston 5th XI make the long trip to face Dumfries 2nd XI.

Anchor welcome Giffnock 2nd XI, while Sunday sees Rottenrow 3rd XI back in action as they host Helensburgh 2nd XI at the National Hockey Centre.

With key points on the line across every division, another compelling weekend of West District hockey is in store.
