Time is running out as we approach the final stretch of the league. Who will be crowned champions of the district?

The biggest game in division one is bound the be the game between Hillhead 3rd XI and Clydesdale 3rd XI. The two sides are two points apart, with Hillhead sitting in third and Clydesdale in fourth. Both will still feel that they can take home silverware this season. Hillhead will be relying on the scoring prowess of Cameron Dempster who has been on fire this season. A crucial game at the other end of the table see’s Dumfries host Uddingston 3rd XI. This game could be dubbed a real six pointer with both sides keen to avoid relegation but both currently occupying the relegation spots. Elsewhere, Western 3rd XI take on GHK in what could be a one-sided game. Western won the earlier game 7-1 but GHK have found some form of late so could prove tricky characters. The other ties see Helensburgh welcome Rottenrow to town and Giffnock travel to Hillhead 4th XI.

Kelburne 3rd XI are back in action this week, in division two, as they host Ayr. Ayr have found some good form of late, being unbeaten in five. But Kelburne have only lost once at the National Hockey Centre this year so the trip could be too much for Ayr. Hot on the tails of top side Kelburne, Western 4th XI travel to Uddingston 4th XI, hoping to keep the pressure up on the top. They sit just a point behind the league leaders but have played a game more. Elsewhere, Rottenrow 2nd XI make the trip down to Helensburgh to face the struggling 2nd XI, whilst Hillhead 5th XI take on Clydesdale 4th XI.

With only a few games left, the race for top four in division three is really hotting up. In form Anchor currently occupy the previous fourth spot but are joint on points with both Uddingston 5th XI and Strathclyde University 2nd XI. They travel to Kilmacolm to play Greenock 2nd XI, who are comfortably holding second place in the division. The other two sides vying for that fourth spot take on each other tomorrow, as Uddingston host the University. With both teams struggling for consistency, it could be an important result for both sides. The other game see’s Ayr 2nd XI take on Kelburne 4th XI.

With only one promotion spot out of division four, it looks to be a fight between Western 5th XI and Clydesdale 5th XI. Western aren’t in action tomorrow but Clydesdale will host Dumfries 2nd XI. Form dictates that Clydesdale should win as they are unbeaten in nine, but Dumfries can be a tricky side for any team. The other two sides in action are Hillhead 7th XI and Giffnock 2nd XI. The two sides do still have an outside chance of winning the division and three points tomorrow would go a long way to that.
