At least six games were effected by the frosty weather on Saturday but some hockey did take place.

 

Two games took place in division 1 with Rottenrow putting on an excellent display against Western 3rd XI. Western, who had only scored 2 goals prior to the game, were held to a 2 – 2 draw. The point was enough to see Western move top of the league, however. The other game to beat the freeze was Dumfries against GHK. The two sides were sitting at the bottom of the division with no points between them. It was even game throughout with points shared in the end.

 

Division 2 saw only one game fall to the cold weather. Kelburne 3rd XI put themselves right back in the frame with an important 3 – 2 win over Glasgow University 3rd XI. The win see’s Kelburne take top spot in the division. Elsewhere, Hillhead 5th XI had a comprehensive 8 – 1 victory over Ayr, and Helensburgh 2nd XI feel to a 5 – 1 defeat to Western 4th XI.

 

In division 3, Anchor got their first win of the season with a 4 – 2 win over Greenock 2nd XI. Callum Baillie’s double helped Anchor get the points.

 

Western 5th XI, who sit top of division 4, fell to only their second defeat of the season as they lost 2 – 1 to Giffnock 2nd XI at Eastwood.
