It proved to be a weekend packed with goals and significant results across all three West District divisions, with title races, relegation battles and record scorelines grabbing the headlines.

Division 1 – Goal Fest Headlines the Weekend

There was no shortage of entertainment in Division 1, none more so than at the ON-X where Kelburne 3rd XI hosted Helensburgh in a remarkable 14-goal encounter. The visitors eventually came out on top in an extraordinary 8–6 victory, with league top scorer Adam Carmichael adding four more goals to his impressive seasonal tally.

League leaders Western 3rd XI continued their relentless march at the top with a dominant 16–1 win over bottom side Glasgow University 3rd XI, maintaining their unbeaten record in emphatic fashion.

Elsewhere, Clydesdale 3rd XI produced one of the results of the weekend with a narrow 1–0 victory over second-placed Hillhead 4th XI, tightening the race behind the leaders.

At the other end of the table, Hillhead 5th XI secured an important 3–2 win against Giffnock, with Graeme Etheridge scoring twice, while Rottenrow picked up a solid 3–1 win over Clydesdale 4th XI to remain firmly in the chasing pack.

Division 2 – Uddingston Stay Perfect

The intra-club clash in Uddingston saw the league-leading Uddingston 3rd XI maintain their unbeaten season with a 4–1 victory over their own 4th XI. Finlay McFarlane grabbed a brace as the table toppers strengthened their position at the summit, while the 4th XI’s impressive five-match unbeaten run came to an end.

Rottenrow 2nd XI ensured the pressure remains on second-placed GHK, earning a hard-fought three points away to Dumfries.

Meanwhile, Kelburne 4th XI continued their move away from danger with an important 2–0 win over Hillhead 6th XI, boosting their hopes of Division 2 survival.

Division 3 – Rottenrow Enjoy Clinical Weekend

It was a standout weekend for Rottenrow 3rd XI, who recorded two impressive victories across their double-header fixtures. Saturday saw them defeat Giffnock 5–0, with Ross Jubin scoring a hat-trick, before following it up with a commanding 9–1 away win against Dumfries 2nd XI on Sunday.

At Titwood, honours were even as Clydesdale 6th XI and Uddingston 5th XI shared the points in a 1–1 draw.

Elsewhere, Hillhead 8th XI proved too strong at home as they defeated Helensburgh 2nd XI 5–2, while Anchor continued their resurgence with a convincing 6–0 victory over Dumfries 2nd XI, making it back-to-back wins.
