The last official weekend of games was completed last weekend, with Indoor starting yesterday.

Four games in division one, and it was important wins for both Hillhead sides. Hillhead 4th XI leapfrogged opponents Rottenrow after defeating them 2-1 in a tight game at Old Anniesland. The win, which included goals from Calum McNeil and Graeme Campbell, see’s Hillhead move into second place. At the other end of the table, Hillhead 5th XI overcame a resilient Kelburne 3rd XI to give them three valuable points in the race to escape relegation. Clydesdale 4th XI will be the happier side after managing an impressive draw against their 3rd XI rivals, and Glasgow University 3rd XI fell to 5-2 defeat to Giffnock.

 

Only one match took place in division two and it was Hillhead 6th XI against Rottenrow. A Neil Macey hat-trick sealed all three points for the Hillhead side as they won 5-0 against a strong Rottenrow 2nd XI.

In division three, Hillhead 8th XI won the Hillhead derby, as they beat opponents, the 7th XI, 6-1. Ollie Hamilton with the hat-trick that put the 7th XI to the sword. The other match played saw Clydesdale 6th XI defeat Anchor, with two goals from Jacob Dash, and two from Ross Furmedge.

At the halfway stage, Western 3rd XI look comfortable at the top of the West District division one, with eight wins from eight. It’s Kelburne 3rd XI that prop up the bottom of division one, having struggled to find form this season. In division two, Uddingston 3rd XI look set to bounce straight back up to division one, also remaining unbeaten. Rottenrow 2nd XI and GHK are hot on their tails though. It’s Ayr that find themselves in a relegation fight at the bottom of the table, having only managed one point this season. Capping off the unbeaten sides, Clydesdale 5th XI sit atop division three, having dropped no points in the first half of the season.
