It’s another big weekend in the district as a full fixture card is in play.

The big clash in division one this weekend see’s Clydesdale 3rd XI host Rottenrow. The two sides sit second and third respectively and the winner could take top spot if other results go their way. However, Western 3rd XI currently holds that privilege and take on Hillhead 5th XI at home. Two sides still searching for their first win come head-to-head as Glasgow University 3rd XI come up against Kelburne 3rd XI. It’s been a poor start for both sides, with over eighteen goals conceded each, but Saturday is chance to put that right. The other two matches see Helensburgh travel to Eastwood High School to face Giffnock, whilst Hillhead and Clydesdale 4th XIs meet each other at Old Anniesland.

It’s another second vs. third as GHK travel to Uddingston 3rd XI for their match in division two. The two sides couldn’t be more evenly matched, with the same points, goals scored, and goals conceded so expect a tight match. Top spot is currently occupied by Rottenrow 2nd XI, who travel to Greenock 2nd XI. Western 4th XI hasn’t had the brightest start to the season and have conceded eighteen goals in five games. This could bode well for Hillhead 6th XI as the current division top striker, Neil Macey, could put Western to the sword. Elsewhere, Dumfries host Strathclyde University 2nd XI and Kelburne 4th XI travel to Uddingston 4th XI.

Division three has just the three games tomorrow. Rottenrow 3rd XI took their time getting their season started, however after two games they remain unbeaten, and will hoping to continue that on Saturday against Hillhead 8th XI, in their first home game of the season. Anchor also remain unbeaten and are hoping to add three points as they welcome Uddingston 5th XI to the ON-X. The final match see’s Clydesdale 6th XI travel to Balgray to play against Hillhead 7th XI, with the two sides equal on points – it could be an even game.
