After a couple weeks hiatus, the West District leagues are back in action, and it’s a big weekend!

Division 1 sees unbeaten Hillhead 3rd XI travel to Titwood, to take on Clydesdale 3rd XI. The two sides have had great starts to the season and will be hoping to push on in the league with three points on Saturday. Uddingston 3rd XI host Dumfries this weekend. Both sides have started poorly, with no points on the table yet, but Saturday could be a chance to change that. Rottenrows Tom Edwards is in fine form with five goals to his name, and they’ll be hoping he is form again, tomorrow, with a home game against Helensburgh. Elsewhere, Giffnock host Hillhead 4th XI and Western 3rd XI take on GHK.

Unbeaten Uddingston 4th XI sit top of the division 2 table, and they will have Martin Lorimer to thank for his goal contributions so far this season. However, the top side take on a tricky Western 4th XI at Auchenhowie, who are sure to be looking to recapture last seasons form after a topsy turvy start to their season. Stepps 2nd XI are travelling through to take on the University of Glasgow 2nd XI. The uni side picked up three points over the break and got their promotion challenge on track and they will be hoping home advantage will help them get over the line against a struggling Stepps side. The other title challengers, Kelburne 3rd XI, have a difficult task, as they travel down the coast to take on Ayr. Ayr are usually strong at home and will be hoping this will help them pick up all three points on Saturday. Elsewhere, Rottenrow 2nd XI host Helensburgh 2nd XI and Hillhead 5th XI go to Clydesdale 4th XI.

Last seasons division 2 sides face each other in division 3 for the first time tomorrow, as Anchor take on the challenge of Strathclyde University 2nd XI. The Uni side sit top of the table, but it is still early in the season and Anchor are yet to really get going! Kelburne 4th XI welcome Uddingston 5th XI, and Ayr 2nd XI travel to Hillhead 6th XI.

In division 4, it could be a mismatch between top of the table and bottom of the table. Western 5th XI takes on Helensburgh 3rd XI, with a late 17:00 pushback at Auchenhowie. Elsewhere, Clydesdale 5th XI have the long trip down to play Dumfries 2nd XI, and Hillhead 7th XI host Giffnock 2nd XI.
